CRIMEANIZATION - WITHOUT SOMEONE INTERVIEW

Tym razem zamiast o płycie, będzie bardziej o artyście z zagranicy ,ukrywającym się pod nazwą "Crimeanization".
W ramach promocji krążka "Without Someone" , musicspiritland przeprowadził wywiad z Maximem Mikhaylovem, który mam nadzieję skłoni was do zapoznania się z tymże albumem.

"Without Someone" od kilku dni dostępny jest w formie CD + DVD (spis utworów podałem już wcześniej). Jest to piekna podróż, zarówno muzyczna jak i wizualna po terenach Krymu.
Wywiad na chwilę obecną dostępny jest w języku angielskim. W razie problemów dajcie znać a zostanie przetłumaczony również na język polski.

1-How CRIMEANIZATION project was born?

It all started back in 1995 when I created the local band call “SECRET LAND” it was a pop-rock style, where I was the producer, writer of all music and lyrics and singer. SECERT LAND was active from 1995 to 2007 During this time we have released several albums and videos, was promotion on the radio and TV stations, but the project was local and not spread beyond the Crimea. In 2007 I disbanded the SECRET LAND , and realized that I need to go further and began experimenting with unfinished songs, different samples, sounds and voices. Finally in the end of 2008 I decided to create a new New Age project “Crimeanization”. The “Crimeanization” name was coined spontaneously, as the thought came to associate music with the Crimean species, the nature of the peninsula, and with the mood it creates.

2-How "Without someone" become the title of the album?

Over 12 years in the “ SECRET LAND” I worked with many musicians and vocalists, but on this time t just decided to do everything by myself - from the selection of samples,
voices, composing music, to arrange and engineering and making the videos, so I was in the studio absolutely "Without Someone ". exception is the songs “I’m Searching For A Place Where I Can Hide” and “Butterfly” - it was written for the SECRET LAND” vocals by Mary Delilah, but in 2009 I re-mixed it for this album in NEW AGE style.


3-Can you give us more info about "temporary Visions" and "My Island In Your Heart" tracks?
“Temporary Visions” is the very first ever single, that I had recorded for Crimeanization. The creation of the track took 2 months. In childhood I always liked a historic site in the Crimea - the ancient city Çufut Qale. Later I learned the legend associated with this place, the story was told about the tragic fate Janicke - daughter of King Tahtamysh, who ruled the ancient city “Çufut Qale” in the XIII century. Under Impressed by this story I created “Temporary Visions”.
Regards “My Island In Your Heart” Is a continuation of the “Temporary Visions” theme but in a different times, sometimes reality meets the dreams, and maybe this is not our dreams, maybe it’s just some memories from another lifetime?
Then, these songs were released as singles. In both songs female whisper by Elena Ilnickaya she also co-producer “Without Someone” album.

4-What motivated you to begin to create such music?
I've always been under the influence of music by Michael Cretu. This is not Enigma only, All of his projects have a very profound influence on my musical tastes.
And always thinking about my own New Age project. Since I was born and raised in the Crimea, I wanted to associate the music with this wonderful place. Show and tell about the culture of the people who live in Crimea. I hope I got it in the project
”Crimeanization”


5-Can you tell us more about the music videos? who's directed them and how the idea was born? Why the DVD is titled "The Favourites"
In the beginning we haven’t thought of making more than 1-2 videos, but later we realized that we could not convey all the emotions that are associated with the Crimea in music album only. We wanted to make a videos for all songs from album. Under the agreement with EGM Production and Distance Lights Studios, we had to finish work under album (music and videos) till October 2010. We started to shooting the videos, since May 2010 and unfortunately don’t have a time to make videos for all tracks, so the DVD is called “The Favorites”. During filming, we visited many places of the Crimea, as a once in a while, when the heat was 39-42 C. I want to say thanks to all our members who passed test weather. We would like to show a lot more beautiful corners of the Crimean land, in the future hope ... I was directed of all videos and thanks for great ideas from co-producer, Eiena Ilnickaya.

6-How long did it take you to create this album?
About 2 years with few interruptions.

7-What are your future plans? Are you going to continue to work on the Crimeanization project?
Now comes out our debut album, we are very excited and look forward to it. I spend 5-6 hours in the studio almost every day, many ideas and I hope to be continued ...

8-Is music is your only passion? Do you have any other interests, hobbies?
Of course, music is my main hobby in my life. Also I enjoy the movies of 80’s, vintage computer ZX-Spectrum, collect rare CD and vinyl , 7” singles. My favorite rock bands bands The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, Badfinger, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project and many more. From new age undoubtedly Enigma, Slavik…Kemmler, Mike Oldfield. Of cause I like also pop music from 80’s this is Modern Talking Bad Boys Blue, Fancy, Hubert Kah, Sandra. I love to travel with my girlfriend.

Questions from fans:

-Does your album reflect personal stories of yours or are the song created from your willing just to dream about something?
Yes, all the songs reflect my sense of peace, the nature of the Crimea, childhood memories of Tarkhankoot and the other parts of the Crimean land, trying to draw musical inspiration from the beautiful nature, love, and faith.

-do you intend to promote your project as it is and staying behind it?
Sure I want to continue to promote “Crimeanization”, and I hope that will bring more fans. I'll continue to write songs and don’t intend to promote myrself, I want all people to know about the Crimea, about this nature, beauty and culture through my music and videos.


-Can you recall some influences from other new age/electronic artists such as Enigma or Deep Forest?
Yes, Enigma - was the main musical creation, which has affected and continues to influence me for many years, I consider Enigma is a genius creation by Michael Cretu

-While listening the music of Crimeaniation I have noticed that it is very close to such projects as Wise Hand and Slavik..Kemmler. What are your musical influences?"
As for vocals, I believe the Susanne Kemmler’s vocal - one of the most beautiful voices for the new age music. And, of course, I enjoyed her songs in the middle of 90’s and still I’m. “Close to Heaven” one of my favorite CD.

-Whats your favourite motto, a guiding principle that helps you every day?
My motto is – Keep true to the dreams of thy youth. And I trying.

-Do you think its possible to invent something new in music, new quality?
What happens in the music world, I do not really like it. Of course there are many interesting artists and groups, but few really good. In order for there was something new - people have to buy music instead of downloading it on the Internet and steal ...
then from the artists and authors will be motivated to create something new.
